Minimum Requirements for Employment

Certified Professionals

Hold or be eligible for a Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate

Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

Master’s Degree (preferred)

Must Pass a SLED Criminal Background 

First-Year Educators Must Participate in the First Year Induction Program

 

Non-Certified Professionals

Must Pass a National and SLED Criminal Background & Fingerprint Check

Hold or be eligible for a Valid South Carolina Driver's License

Any Professional License required related to the held position

Transportation Professionals

Valid South Carolina Commercial Driver's License with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements

Pre-Employment Urine Analysis Screening (Bus Driver Only)

Must Pass a National and SLED Criminal Background & Fingerprint Check

First Aid & CPR for Children & Adults (Provided by the School)
