Minimum Requirements for Employment
Paraprofessionals & Support Staff must obtain the credentials required to operate a school bus within 30 days of employment.
Certified Professionals
Hold or be eligible for a Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Master’s Degree (preferred)
Must Pass a SLED Criminal Background
Non-Certified Professionals
Must Pass a National and SLED Criminal Background & Fingerprint Check
Hold or be eligible for a Valid South Carolina Driver's License
Any Professional License required related to the held position
Transportation Professionals
Valid South Carolina Commercial Driver's License with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements
Pre-Employment Urine Analysis Screening (Paraprofessional/Bus Driver Only)
Must Pass a National and SLED Criminal Background & Fingerprint Check
First Aid & CPR for Children & Adults (within 3 weeks of hire)
