About the Role
Fine Arts Preparatory School holds the high standards for professionalism, ethical morality, and scholarship. Performs under limited supervision a myriad of highly involved and sensitive duties required and is an experienced financial and business manager with knowledge to include the maintenance of financial books and records including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and cash management. Has responsibility for the school’s business services, purchasing and food services programs. Provides interdepartmental support and serves as an information resource on financial matters. Oversees the receipting process in the school to document and account for monies collected and prepares reciprocal office receipts. Some evening and weekend duties may be required.
Requirements
Acts in an advisory capacity for other departments in matters relating to fiscal procedures and programs.
Coordinates purchasing, ensuring compliance with state and Institution purchasing and procurement regulations and guidelines.
Performs daily counts of student activity fund monies received by the school.
Prepares account deposit breakdowns and reconciles the bank deposit to the total funds receipted by the school.
Verifies teacher deposits to the receipt books to ensure that all monies are receipted.
Delivers deposits to bank.
Verifies any amount credited by the bank agrees with deposit breakdowns.
Retrieves and safeguards bank bags.
Prepares requisitions and purchase orders for office supplies and expense vouchers for reimbursement.
Handles departmental accounts and updates electronic accounting system.
Calls equipment repair service when necessary.
Promotes financial transparency within the school.
Performs receptionist duties on a rotating basis, as needed for back-up.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the school leader.
