Interstellar Constellation

Stand out among the crowd with your S.H.I.N.E. by being extraordinary! Remember that points are not rewarded for doing the expected, but for demonstrating exemplary behaviors and academic achievements. Points can be given by any adult who is in our school family, so behave well at all times - you never know who could be watching! The most important thing to remember is that we all have bad moments, and our points will never be taken away for that...we get to try again in the very next moment.

Zearn

Zearn is a comprehensive math program that supports teachers in creating engaging daily learning where all kids deeply learn and love math. Zearn Math brings together hands-on teaching and immersive digital learning, resulting in multiple pathways into math concepts and more opportunities for support. Zearn has top-rated coherent intervention materials and implementation tools to make Zearn Math work for your classroom.

Prodigy

Prodigy is an engaging, curriculum-aligned math platform for students and teachers from 1st – 8th grade. The platform encourages self-paced math practice both in and out of school that is leveled based on your student's progress. Prodigy meets ESSA Tier 3 in partnership with John Hopkins University. Your students can work through topics based on their levels or you can assign specific skills for them to complete; all while they think they are playing a game! State test prep is also available to assign.

Next Gen Personal Finance

Curriculum to teach Financial Literacy to high school and middle school students, plus high school Financial Algebra and Econ Collection. NGPF invests in teacher professional development with live Virtual PD workshops, 10 Certification courses, and 40+ asynchronous On-Demand modules.

Biblionasium

Biblionasium is a social network that allows students to log books, review them, and share or recommend them to fellow kid readers. Parents or teachers must sign up first and then grant access to kids. Students get to choose an animated avatar and can then start to add books to their My Books section.

CommonLit

CommonLit is a nonprofit education technology organization working to support all students with reading, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills. The CommonLit Literacy Model is built on a foundation of over 2,000 high-quality free reading passages for grades 3-12, complimented by aligned interim assessments, growth-oriented goals, and expert-led teacher development. Teachers can assign Mini Units (short, self-paced thematic units for grades 5-12) and Text Sets (relevant reading passages from a variety of genres).

Lalilo

Lalilo is an online phonics program that is geared toward K-2 students. The website works on tablets, iPads, and computers. When working with Lalilo, students work on adaptive exercises in phonics, word recognition, and comprehension. As part of the platform, students journey through different worlds, collecting badges and unlocking stories. The vocabulary-rich stories teach students about nature and animals. As a teacher, you can track whole-class and individual progress. If needed, you can also assign specific lessons.

History Explorer

The History Explorer is designed to help teachers provide historical instruction through "reading" objects — sharing artifacts exhibited in the National Museum of American History and the stories they tell about our nation and its history. Visitors to the site can explore a variety of lessons and activities, objects, and media clips; search content by grade level, keyword, and historical era; and subscribe to an RSS feed. Students can sharpen their critical thinking skills by taking virtual behind-the-scenes field trips to learn how exhibitions are produced, explore topics such as Native American buffalo hide painting, or play online games.

Certell is a collection of forever-free social studies content that is created by teachers, for teachers. It is trusted, standards-based, media-rich, and digitally delivered content at your fingertips across any device. They cover everything you need to teach a subject, digitally accessible in one place for economics, government, and American history.

EDSITEment!

EDSITEment offers free resources for teachers, students, and parents searching for high-quality K-12 humanities education materials in the subject areas of history and social studies, literature, language arts, foreign languages, arts, and culture.

Belouga

Belouga is a digital platform providing teachers and students with the ability to connect, communicate and collaborate with their peers locally and globally. The platform is driven by interactive content that gives all users an experience to learn about the world, with the world.

National Geographic Kids

National Geographic Kids features educational games, videos, and other activities, centered mostly on animals and the natural world. Kids also can get a virtual tour of different countries, featuring fun facts and other information

Mystery Science

Mystery Science offers science lessons in English and Spanish for Kindergarten through 5th Grade. There are full and mini-lessons available without having to create an account. Full Lessons come with a hands-on activity.

Generation Genius

Generation Genius is a science teaching resource that brings school science standards to life through fun and educational videos paired with lesson plans, activities, quizzes, reading materials, discussion questions, and more. The videos are filmed in Hollywood, produced in partnership with the National Science Teaching Association, and have been aligned to standards in all 50 states. You can generate a student link for each of the videos, the reading material has built-in read-aloud features, and lesson plans/teacher guides are provided. Each video comes with multiple assessment options, such as quizzes (digital and paper) and exit tickets. (Note: Using the Google Form format of the quiz does require you to have an account).

KiDE Science

Kide Science platform offers the most engaging model to break the mold and give teachers the confidence to teach inquiry-based lessons with play and stories to children aged 3-8.

Ology

Ology is a science website for kids from the American Museum of Natural History. Ology not only has science content, but through a partnership with ReadWorks they have created dozens of Ology articles and paired them with vocabulary lessons and formative assessments.

Google Arts & Culture

Google Arts & Culture (formerly Google Art Project) is an online platform of high-resolution images and videos of artworks and cultural artifacts from partner cultural organizations throughout the world.

The program utilizes high-resolution image technology that enables the viewer to tour partner organization collections and galleries and explore the artworks' physical and contextual information. The platform includes advanced search capabilities and educational tools.

Google Chrome Music Lab

Chrome Music Lab is a website that makes learning music more accessible through fun, hands-on experiments.

Many teachers have been using Chrome Music Lab as a tool in their classrooms to explore music and its connections to science, math, art, and more. They’ve been combining it with dance and live instruments.

#METKids

MetKids is a kid-friendly gateway to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The site features three major sections: "Map" lets users explore an interactive cartoon map of the Met, clicking red dots to learn more about the artwork and yellow dots to learn about visitor spaces in the museum. Each red dot lets users view a work of art in detail, and they can click "Listen" (to learn more about the work in a a child narrator's voice), "Discover" (to read more background information), "Imagine" (to imagine what the artwork might mean more broadly in its original context and today), and "Create" (where kids can create their own art related to the work they've just explored). There's also an "even more information" link that kids can tap to enter the Met's website for grown-ups and explore the work in even greater detail.

MEMRISE

Memrise is a language learning app that is the opposite of textbook learning: it’s enjoyable and effective. Memrise’s courses have one thing that textbooks don’t: real-life language. To add to the richness, our courses are packed with thousands of video clips of native speakers speaking in their native language, in their hometown. So you can learn to understand authentic voices and accents, as well as taking in the scenery and getting a sense of the culture.

CODE.org includes free coding lessons, sounds, and many more things used to help students code fluently. The initiative also targets schools in an attempt to encourage them to include more computer science classes in the curriculum.

CodeHS courses teach students applicable computer science skills. With a focus on helping students develop problem solving and computational thinking skills, students come away both with a knowledge of professional programming languages and the conceptual understanding needed to learn new languages.

Student Senate

The student senate serves as the official representative body for students, advocating for their needs, concerns, and ideas to the school administration and faculty. The Student Senate provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and civic responsibility through active participation in student government activities. The Student Senate fosters a sense of community and school spirit by organizing events, activities, and initiatives that enhance the overall student experience.

Each grade level, third through twelfth, may elect or appoint a designated number of class representatives based on the student population.
